Biography:
Warren Worthington III, also known as Archangel, is a mutant superhero from Marvel Comics. He first appeared in X-Men #1 in September 1963. Born with large feathered wings, Warren possesses the ability of flight and is a founding member of the X-Men.
Initially, Warren's wings were naturally feathered. However, in a turning point, he underwent a transformation orchestrated by Apocalypse. This resulted in his wings being replaced with metallic, razor-sharp wings. These new wings granted Warren enhanced offensive capabilities.
The transformation also profoundly affected Warren's personality, leading to periods where he embraced a darker, more violent persona associated with Apocalypse. Over time, Warren has struggled with controlling the influence of his altered form, battling for control and redemption.
